Race for the Cure and Purple Reign

What a busy week it was towards the end of October, maybe even the last of official event coverages for Memphis Woman. Seem the CA and WMC-TV were very interested in us not printing right now. Although on the Thursday, Oct. 23, several of our young breast cancer survivors featured on our site (www.memphiswomanonline.com) and I were on the Eyewitness Midday News (Channel 24/30) talking about more young women being diagnosed with breast cancer and the Race for the Cure. The same day I was honored at a luncheon for the Spirit of Kindness award by the The Kindness Revolution (www.thekindnessrevolution.net). Here is a pic of me and Dee Griffin who was not only a mistress of ceremonies but also an award recipient. It was such a great uplifting day!

The 16th annual Race for the Cure was held Saturday, October 25 at Saddle Creek in Germantown. It was the largest one yet raising over a million dollars! There are over 200 photos in this slide show from the Race for the Cure. You can click on it and it will take you to my Picasa web album page where you can see all the photos and download any you want.

Enjoy this movie of many fun things that go on during the Race for the Cure!
